A sea of red was the scene at Yankee Stadium as fans gathered Wednesday for a friendly match between Liverpool FC and Sporting Club Portugal.

Inside the Yankee Tavern, the songs started hours before the match. Liverpool fans from all across North America converged on the Bronx for a rare opportunity to see their beloved reds play stateside.

Wednesday's match completes a preseason stretch for Liverpool, the 6-time winners of the Champions League as they continue to spread their global brand.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
