PAL summer camp kids visit Longwood for day of fun in the sun

Kids in the Police Athletic League's summer camp went head-to-head Thursday for a chance at bragging rights among their peers.

Campers from across New York City took to the field for the Pennant Quest at Bill Rainey Park in Longwood to try and come out on top in various events as the program comes to an end for the summer.

The day was more than just fun and games. The kids displayed - through banners - the topics in history they've studied with school out for the summer. The topics ranged from Ancient Greece to the Harlem Renaissance.
