A Bronx girl received a special doll after she lost her arm while battling a flesh-eating bacteria.
Two years ago, Mimi Villa was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, also known as flesh-eating disease, after doctors previously misdiagnosed her with a cold, her mother said.
The condition caused Villa to lose her arm when she was 5-years-old.
After receiving extensive care at Blythedale Hospital in Valhalla, Mimi has a new prosthetic arm.
