WESTCHESTER SQUARE -

A man is wanted for fatally shooting another man in the head outside a deli in Westchester Square.

Officials say the incident happened just before 10 p.m. Sunday.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the incident, showing the suspect walk in front of a deli on East Tremont and St. Raymond avenues and stand there for a few minutes before pulling out a gun. Seconds later, the victim is seen falling to the ground.

Authorities believe the man approached the 34-year-old victim from behind and shot him in the back of the head, before running off.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition. News 12 is told the victim succumbed to his injuries on July 31.

The suspect is described as over 21 years old with a goatee and an athletic built.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
