Some local students are giving back to their community through art by teaming up with the youth development program Publicolor and the New York Yankees.
At P.S. 146 in Morrisania, students are adding some color to a very plain looking wall, and they're not doing it alone.
They've teamed up with Yankees employees, who mentored them throughout the day.

Most of these students have been involved with the Publicolor program for years. Publicolor is a program aimed at empowering students in their careers and personal life.

"I'm a Yankees fan. I was a Yankees fan since I was this short, and my dad is a Yankee fan, so being able to interact with people who make the Yankee Stadium function is honorable honestly," says student Destiny Meneses.
Publicolor says it works with students to transform schools and public spaces just like this

The project is expected to be wrapped up by the end of the week.
