Audrey Hall is one of three winners who were celebrated at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday.
Every year, the New York Public Library holds a summer reading contest. It challenges young New Yorkers to choose a book within a certain theme and write an essay on it.
The winners earn a trip to Yankee Stadium. One of the winners this year is Audrey Hall, from the Bronx.
This year the library's theme was "blast off." It aims to show kids how books can transport you to a whole different place without leaving your home.
Aubrey is an aspiring writer and chose to write about the book "Blended" by Sharon Draper. She said she couldn't be more excited to meet with the Bronx Bombers.
