Police say two men were shot in Williamsbridge early Saturday morning after being approached by a group of unknown men.

They say the two men were standing near the corner of Barnes Avenue and East 217th Street when they were approached. Officials say that’s when someone in the group pulled out a gun and shot at them.

A 34-year-old man was shot in the right leg while a 26-year-old man was shot in the armpit. Both men were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals Jacobi where they are in stable condition.
