A Bronx native cuts hair for a living, and will go anywhere on his bike to do it.
Julien Howard, also known as the Velo Barber, has traveled around New York City and the world cutting one lock at a time.
Howard says it was a self-taught passion and profession that began out of necessity while he was in boarding school.
After the cut, Howard takes a photo of his work to document the next part of his journey.
He says he now has clients asking for cuts in just about every country.
"One of the strangest places I’ve ever cut hair has been in a funeral home and some of the dopest places have been in Machu Picchu, I was in Tokyo," he says.
