A fight broke out while officers were trying to evacuate residents during an apartment building fire on the Grand Concourse on Tuesday.
Witnesses say a woman tried to run into the building but was stopped by officers. They say the woman's construction worker son did not like the way police reacted and a fight broke out.
A video shows the fight between the son, other construction workers and officers.
Witnesses also tell News 12 that officers used pepper spray.
Police say they were met by a crowd of people as they were evacuating the building. Police say one person became irate and physically pushed an officer and was arrested. A woman also got physical and removed a body camera from an officer and then threw it on the ground, they say.
Police say she was arrested and that a third person threw a milk carton at an officer and then ran away. Police are still looking for the third individual.
The fire broke out around 4: 20 p.m. Tuesday at 1454 Grand Concourse, a six-story apartment building.
