Police: Trio wanted for Aug. 23 Mott Haven shooting that injured 2

Police say they are now searching for three suspects involved in a double shooting that happened last month in Mott Haven.

News 12 is told it happened on Aug. 23 along Brook Avenue and East 139th Street in front of a bar and lounge.

According to officials the men approached the two victims and fired multiple shots before running away. 

Police chased the suspects, but they managed to get away.

Both men were treated for their injuries at the hospital. Officials say one victim was a 41-year-old man who was shot in the arm and the other a 33-year-old shot in the groin and rear.

Police say they recovered a gun from a nearby garbage bin.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
