New exhibit to highlight work of Bronx photographer

A new exhibit is highlighting the work of a Bronx photographer who documented New York's gay culture during the late 1970s.
Bronx native Alvin Baltrop honed his skills when he joined the Navy in the late ‘60s during the height of the Vietnam War.
Baltrop depicts gay life through the eyes of New Yorkers. He was very interested in showing regular people exploring their desires.
Some pictures he took from afar, observing sailors in life's ordinary moments.
The massive collection will be on display through February of next year.
