The last day of summer is Sept. 23, but that doesn't mean there isn't time to visit some of the tri-state area's best outdoor venues.
News 12 visited three unique spots in Brooklyn, and found out early fall can actually be the best time to spend time at venues like these.
In Williamsburg, Smorgasburg attracts 10-20,000 people every weekend day. It's open in Williamsburg at the East River State Park on Saturdays, but also has other locations in New York and around the country.
Eric Demby, one of the founders of Smorgasburg, says, "Smorgasburg is a combination of a gigantic food attraction, a community of startup food vendors, and a really lovely way to spend your day stuffing your face with cool people, and a beautiful view."
Smorgasburg is outdoors through November, at which point it relocates indoors, and has fewer vendors.
At the Brooklyn Navy Yard, on top of one of the buildings, is a rooftop vineyard called Rooftop Reds. Rooftop Reds is the first commercially viable rooftop vineyard in the world.
General manager Clara Kann says, "Whether you’ve never had wine, or you dabble, or you’ve been to many vineyards, this is new for everyone."
Rooftop Reds offers weekly events like sunset yoga, movie pizza wine night, and vineyard tours with tastings. But on a daily basis, people are able to come to the rooftop, enjoy the view, and drink wine created by Rooftop Reds.
Rooftop Reds is open until Nov. 1.

In Bushwick, when you get off the subway at Jefferson Street, it's hard to miss the Brooklyn Street Art Beer Garden
It's a large outdoor venue completely covered with street art, and serving local Brooklyn Beers at the bar.
People can come out and enjoy the bright, colorful outdoor space, play games like cornhole and giant Jenga, and try some new beers.
There are also smaller versions of street art available for purchase on the "gallery wall" in the space.
Gallery manager Brendan Schwartz says, "This is a great place for the community not only because its gives local artists a great place to showcase their work, and put their message out there, but it's great for people to come get a little taste of what Bushwick is all about."
The Brooklyn Street Art Beer Garden is outdoors until Oct. 31, at which point it will be relocated to an indoor venue.
