Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza announced a new effort to accelerate learning and instruction for schools across the city.
School officials highlighted the Instructional Leadership Framework and the Culturally Responsive Sustaining Education (CR-SE) Fellows program, which aim to give every student the tools they need to succeed.

The initiative will be implemented this school year.

School officials say it will include a strengthened and more inclusive curriculum to allow students to see themselves in the lessons they are taught, as well as to ensure accelerated learning.

A total of 60 teachers from across the city will meet throughout the school year to analyze ways for teachers to tailor their classes to students' needs.
