The father whose twins died after he left them in a hot car parked in Kingsbridge Heights was back in court Tuesday afternoon.
The judge announced that there's still no grand jury action by prosecutors in the case.
This is the third time the prosecution has asked for more time in its investigation.
Juan Rodriguez is accused of leaving his 1-year-old twins Luna and Phoenix in the back seat of his hot car back in July.
Rodriguez, who is out on bond, is charged with two counts of manslaughter and criminally neglect homicide.
His lawyer is pushing for the Bronx District Attorney's Office to drop the charges in the case.
Rodriguez is due back in court on Oct. 24.
