A high school DJ and music production program is celebrating seven years with a new studio.
Elite productions meets three days a week at Bronx Envision Academy where students learn the elements of hip-hop, supporting each other's crafts, producing music, writing songs and even learning marketing.
Teacher and founder of the club, DJ Noe or Mr. V, as his students call him, says it hasn't taken long to see success in the club's seven-year history.
"The professionals that the students are becoming, the professional work that they're putting out, they're putting a lot of heart into it and there's a lot of soul involved," he says.
This year Elite Productions has a brand new studio space where DJ Noe uses his experience and the five elements of hip-hop to teach students to shine.
Students say they are gearing up for one of two annual shows.
Their fall fest show will be held on Halloween in front of the whole school.
