Bronx man facing charges after being accused of sex acts with teen boy

A Bronx man is facing charges after being accused of having sex with a teen boy.
Investigators say Michael Barreto videotaped multiple sexual encounters with a 15-year-old boy back in July inside an apartment in the Bronx.
Barreto is accused of performing sex acts on a minor. Police suspect him of using cellphones and cameras to record the 15-year-old involved in sex acts.
Investigators say the case stems back to November 2017. Barreto is now facing charges such as sexual exploitation of a child, possession of child porn and enticement of a minor.
An NYPD investigation led officers to the suspect's apartment. They got a federal warrant to enter the apartment and made the arrest on Tuesday.
News 12 spoke with a neighbor who says she knew the suspect since he was a child. She says he was currently living alone.
Residents say Barreto's behavior has been unacceptable for years. They even say they were afraid to let their kids walk on the fifth floor, where he lived on Gerard Avenue.
Neighbors say they aren't surprised by the arrest and claim there may even be more victims. They even say they would catch Barreto sitting on the building staircase fondling his privates in front of little boys.
