An unlicensed driver accused of running over and killing an infant in her stroller was in court Tuesday for his second appearance.
Police say Kier Boneparte was driving in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx back on Sept.17 when police say he lost control of his SUV near East 215th Street and White Plains Road. They say he then struck a parked car, then jumped a curb – pinning 20-month old Djeneba Magassa against a wall.
Boneparte was charged with reckless driving, failure to yield to pedestrian causing injury, operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating a motor vehicle without insurance license.
Prosecutors told the judge that there's still no grand jury action in the case as they continue to investigate.
Boneparte had nothing to say as his family walked away hugging him in support. Boneparte is due back in court on Nov. 18.
