Bronx community holds prayer service for victims of Puerto Rico mass shooting

Posted: Updated:

The Bronx community held a prayer service Tuesday for the victims of a mass shooting in Puerto Rico Monday.

Six people were killed in the shooting that happened at a San Juan apartment complex. It appears as if automatic weapons were used.

The community offered practical solutions to gun violence while calling for assault weapons to be banned.

Councilman Ydanis Rodríguez says the national media has not done a good enough job covering issues in Puerto Rico.

Councilman Fernando Cabrera is calling on the U.S. government to stamp out gun and gang violence in the U.S. territory by increasing funding.
