A correction officer claims she was wrongfully fired from the Horizon Juvenile Center for sharing a video of a brawl last year that left 20 guards injured.
According to reports, court documents show that Asha Ramrup sent the footage of an Oct. 3 scuffle at the center to a Whats App chat for correction officers. The documents say this was in an effort to warn her colleagues of the dangers awaiting them at the Bronx facility.
However, Ramrup says the Correction Department fired her for reasons she's calling "arbitrary, capricious, and din bad faith."
