Prosecutors are looking to bring up the past of the so-called leader of a Trinitarios group in the trial against gang members accused in the murder of 15-year-old Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz.

The Manhattan district attorney provided Bronx prosecutors with transcripts, social media and audio recordings on Friday. The Bronx DA believes some of the materials can be used against Diego Suero and his co-defendant Frederick Then.

Last month, Suero was indicted on conspiracy charges in a separate case out of Manhattan. He is accused of holding meetings for the Los Sures chapter of the Trinitarios in 2017.

Suero is also accused of ordering the gang to arm themselves and hunt members of their rival gang Sunset. This led to the murder of Junior last year.

Bronx prosecutors say that among the additional evidence they want to use in this trial, Suero was involved in a chat with more than 100 people discussing the cabinet of Los Sures.

Meanwhile, the defense opposes the Bronx DA from using materials from Suero's separate cases. They say it has nothing to do with the Junior case.

The judge is expected to make a decision possibly as early as next Wednesday.
