Cab driver wanted in connection to stabbing of rider says he's the victim

A livery cab driver accused of stabbing a rider in the Bronx says he is the victim in the case, and that he was robbed.
Sandy de Jesus Rodriguez says back on Oct. 13, the rider didn't pay their fare and then stole money from him. He says he then got out of the cab to get his money back, and the man tried to assault him.
Rodriguez says he took out a pocket knife to encourage the rider to back off, but maintains he did not stab anyone.
He says detectives contacted his employer and were looking for him. Rodriguez claims he didn't know there was a warrant for his arrest.
He says he plans to turn himself in Monday at 11 a.m. at the 46th Precinct.
