CONCOURSE VILLAGE -

A man is dead and another is injured after a double shooting in Concourse Village Wednesday.

Police say it happened just after 11 p.m. near a tobacco shop between Sheridan Avenue and 167th Street.

Investigators say police found 23-year-old Kashka Richards fatally shot in the head. They also found a 32-year-old man shot in the leg a few blocks away on Sheridan Avenue. Police say both men were shot at the tobacco shop.

The 32-year-old man was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Detectives believe this was an attempted robbery.

According to officials, Richards was possibly working at the time when he was fatally shot. Police say the injured victim does not know the man who was killed.

Police say they do not have a description of a suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
