6 cars broken into, 1 stolen in single night in New Canaan

Six cars were broken into and one was stolen in a single night in New Canaan, police say.
Police say the incidents happened Wednesday on Autumn Lane, Brooks Road, Millport Avenue and Olmstead Court.
The suspects took cash, loose change, a cellphone and a wallet.
Police say a black-colored 2010 Toyota Highlander, which was unlocked and had its keys in it, was also stolen from Autumn Lane.
Police say they have investigated 26 car break-ins and 10 stolen cars in 2019.
They say in some of the incidents the cars were broken into, but nothing was stolen.
Police say it's possible the crimes are being committed by gang members.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Peter Condos at 203-594-3522.
