Tuesday is the busiest day of the year at the Hunts Point Terminal Market.

Millions of pounds of food will be distributed throughout the Metropolitan area in time for Thanksgiving. Everything you eat on the holiday, besides the turkey, is going to come from the Hunts Point produce market.

This includes squash, fruits for pies, and potatoes all coming from the produce market. All of the products will be distributed to supermarkets, grocers, and restaurants.

The unloading, buying, selling, and shipping have been happening since 6 p.m. last night. Amazingly, the produce is delivered fresh every day from states across the US and even 55 different countries.

The Hunts Point Terminal Market is the largest wholesale produce market in the world. It has a million square-feet of interior space.
