NYPD: Man wanted for groping 4 women within 1 mile of each other in Co-op City

A man is wanted for assaulting multiple women in Co-op City, according to police.

News 12 is told there’s a total of four women that were touched by the man.

Police released video of the man they believe is responsible for the attacks that happened last Thursday.

According to investigators, the suspect attacked four different women within an hour, starting between 7:20 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. They say all attacks happened within one mile of each other near Bartow and Baychester avenues. 

Police say the women were groped while they were walking or near their vehicles. One of the victims was assaulted in her own car. News 12 is told she was sitting in her parked vehicle and the suspect got in and started to forcefully touch her before she started yelling and he took off. 

He is believed to have a full beard and short dark hair. He was last seen in a green hooded jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
