Video surveillance shows a gunman opening fire on a crowded Melrose street that sent five people to the hospital on Wednesday.

Police say they received the call around 4 p.m. They say a 36-year-old woman, a 10-year-old boy, a 19-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were shot. Police say the youngest and oldest victims share the same last name, so they may be related.

They say the victims were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.

Police say other schools in the area are Alfred E Smith High School and Bronx Haven High School.

No life-threatening injuries have been reported.
