MORRISANIA -

Police are searching for multiple men involved in an assault in Morrisania.

News 12 is told an 80-year-old man was putting bottles into a recycling machine outside Food Bazaar Supermarket, along 163rd Street when a fight erupted with three other men Thursday around 9:30 a.m.

Surveillance video captured one of the men authorities are working to identify. The video shows him standing by the machines. That’s where police say the trio got into a brawl with the victim.

Police say the suspect was waiting to use the machine when he got into an argument with the victim, shortly after he punches the man in the face.

News 12 is told there were two other men involved that also got away. The man caught on video was last seen wearing a brown jacket, gray sneakers and a skull cap.

The victim was treated for cuts to his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
