News 12 producer Mike Drazka sat down with Darlene Love during her recent performance at Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington to discuss her entertainment background and singing experiences that led to Love being dubbed 'The Queen of Christmas.'

She is known for her vocals on the iconic, classic Christmas song 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).'

Darlene Love says over 50 years ago she started her singing career with a singing group called The Blossoms. She jokes that they became known as the group that was comprised of background singers. She met them when she was 16.

Love has provided background vocals for many famous artists including Sam Cooke, Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, Dionne Warwick, The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean.

Darlene Love says she still loves to sing to this day and loves the joy she gets out of singing live music.
