A Bronx mother is claiming she was a victim of an assault at a Bronx deli last Sunday.
"I am suffering from a concussion and I have bruises all over my body," said the 36-year-old woman, who is choosing to remain anonymous.
The woman says she fears for her safety. She claims she was on line at a grocery store on Southern Boulevard when a man and a female began to argue. "All I remember is him coming at me, he pushed me so hard that my head smashed into the floor," said the woman.
She tells News 12 that the man was quickly shoved out of the store and that while she was trying to gather herself, he came back in and pushed her again.
The woman tells News 12 that she has filed a police report with the 41st Precinct. Employees at the grocery store didn't want to talk on camera.
The store also refused to show News 12 the video of the alleged incident that was captured on its cameras.
The 36-year-old believes that the bodega failed to help by not locking its doors after she was allegedly assaulted. However, a worker told News 12 off-camera that she became angry with store employees even after 911 was called.
In the meantime, she tells News 12 that she hopes the police are working to find the suspect.
