A woman was robbed on the subway just days before Christmas, according to police.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the man they are looking to question in the attack that happened Monday around 9 a.m.

Police say the 21-year-old victim was riding the 5 train at the East Tremont-West Farms station when a man grabbed her from behind.

The victim tells authorities he snatched her cellphone and then picked up her wallet after it had fallen on the ground. Police say the thief then ran off with her personal items.

News 12 is told the victim was taken to the hospital for evaluation and is doing OK.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
