Holiday return tips for those unwanted gifts

The holidays may be winding down, but the shopping season is still in full swing.

Shopping goes hand in hand with the holidays, but so do the dreaded returns.

According to the Better Business Bureau, stores aren't legally required to accept refunds or exchanges- unless the item was damaged.

Some tips to help you if you head out for returns:

Always keep your receipt and original packaging if you're making a return.

Bring your ID. Some stores might ask for an ID to prevent scams.

Check return policies for time limits.
