The Bronx Jewish Center celebrated the eighth night of Hanukkah at The Mall at Bay Plaza Sunday.
The event focused on spreading the message of inclusivity as children of all backgrounds drew menorahs and dreidels.
People who came out also enjoyed fresh doughnuts and latkes. There was also a raffle for a menorah.
Rabbi Saadia Pewzer says it's important to include everyone during the holidays.
"Everything that we do has a message for everybody and when everyone has that message of light and goodness, the world will be a better place," Pewzer says.
When asked about the stabbing at another rabbi's Rockland County home, Pewzer said that people should say a prayer so that next during Hanukkah, there won't be another incident. He also say that evil is very strong and needs to be faced head-on.
