Multiple families displaced by Bronx fire

Multiple families were displaced Monday evening by a fire that tore through two neighboring apartment buildings.
About 120 firefighters flooded Seddon Street after Alex Diaz called 911. Diaz said he noticed smoke in his third-floor bathroom. Authorities say the fire started on the top floor of 1753 Seddon St. before spreading to 1751 through the shared wall.
The fire managed to affect all three floors of both buildings before firefighters were able to get it under control.
Everyone managed to make it out safely, with no injuries to those living there or firefighters.
However, the damage to the apartments inside was extensive.
The American Red Cross is helping eight adults and two children with temporary housing and financial assistance.
Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
