Savor the Bronx kicked off across the borough on Monday.

Seis Vecinos in Longwood started off the 12-day culinary event that highlights the Bronx's food and flavors. It features Central American-infused dishes with an emphasis on Honduras' cuisine.

This is the ninth year of Savor the Bronx. It offers a dining experience at discount prices and provides special rates for frequent patrons, as well as those who want to try out new menus.

The event will go on until Jan. 17.
