NYPD: Trio robs 52-year-old of cellphone in daytime Longwood attack

Posted: Updated:

Police are after a trio that robbed a man over a cellphone in Longwood.

It happened Jan. 7 around 10:30 a.m. on Aldus Street.

NYPD released a video of the individuals wanted running down the street.

The 52-year-old victim tells police he was approached by several men who went right for his cellphone.

The victim told police he ran into a nearby restaurant along Aldus Street, but claims the trio ran after him.

That is when authorities say they held the victim by the neck and started to punch him in the face, before running off with the cellphone.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for tips that lead to an arrest and indictment.
