Police: Man grazed by bullet while sitting in bed in North Bay Shore

Police are searching for the gunman who fired shots into two Bay Shore homes Wednesday.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. on Cedar Drive.
Police say a man who was inside one of the homes was grazed by a bullet while sitting in bed.
This latest incident comes as the area continues to see a spike in gun violence. Over the past six months, at least three shootings have been reported. The most recent incident happened back in October when a man was shot in the leg on Fourth Avenue.
Police have not said whether any of the shootings are connected.
Suffolk police say they will have unmarked and marked cars patrolling the area. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
