Police are hoping the public can help them find a man connected to an attempted robbery in University Heights.

They say it happened near Aqueduct Avenue Extension and West Fordham Road back on Jan. 12.

Police say the suspect went up to a 32-year-old man and punched him in the face, leaving him with a cut and some bruises.

Investigators say he demanded the victim's cellphone, but he said no before the suspect took off.

Police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
