More efforts are underway from New York City and New York State this week for Puerto Rican cities most affected by this month's earthquakes.

News 12's Aime Rodriguez is on the ground in Puerto Rico, learning of what the Office of Emergency Management is doing to help.

OEM crews were in Puerto Rico just two days after the earthquakes hit. Now, OEM Commissioner Deanne Criswell is seeing what's left to be done.

It's been a long and anxiety-filled week for Puerto Ricans who are still feeling aftershocks days after the devastating earthquake.

New York responded to help in numbers -- sending inspectors and mental health professionals.

"New York City has always had a really great relationship with he residents of Puerto Rico, particularly San Juan," says Criswall. "It was through that relationship that we were able to meet the mayors of those impacted communities."
