Soundview residents angered by city's lack of response to illegal parking

Soundview homeowners are frustrated with drivers blocking their driveways and they say the city is turning a blind eye.
Franck L. Strongbow has lived in the neighborhood for decades and says he and his neighbors have been victims of illegal parking. He says drivers will block driveways, park in front of fire hydrants and place cones to reserve sports.
Strongbow says he's written to local officials and called police with no resolution.
The city's Department of Transportation say it's illegal for drivers to behave this way but that it's "an enforcement matter" and individuals should reach out to the NYPD.
News 12 reached out to the NYPD and are still awaiting a response.
