A man is accused of forcibly touching a minor on the Bx39 bus.
News 12 is told the incident happened about two weeks ago when the 15-year-old was riding the bus in Van Nest.
She told police she was getting off near the stop near Morris Park Avenue and White Plains Road when he walked up to her and grabbed her behind.
Police say the victim did the right thing by calling them right away.
Transit authorities say any victim of inappropriate or unwanted touching, harassment or sexual misconduct while riding on public transportation should call police immediately, and that they understand reaching out is not always easy.
The MTA advises victims to contact police or search for an MTA police officer.
Victims can also report an incident on the MTA's website. The report is then sent to authorities to investigate.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
