Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke appears in court

Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke appeared in court Monday after being arrested and accused of transporting a stolen car across state lines last month.
The 20-year-old rapper was charged with interstate transportation of a stolen Rolls Royce. The rapper is known for songs like "Welcome to the Party."
The rapper tweeted the release of his new single "Christopher Walking" right before his arrest last month.
News 12 is told police found the stolen car in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn and that it was stolen in California.
The rapper pleaded not guilty and was released on a $250,000 bond with supervision. Prosecutors say he is a gang member and that the condition of his release includes no contact with other gang members.
Pop Smoke's case has been adjourned until next month. A status conference is scheduled for March 30.
