Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a stabbing that left one man critically injured last Friday.
Police say the incident happened inside a Bronx pizzeria in Mott Haven just before 4:30 p.m. Manuel DeJesus says he is used to making pizzas and not breaking up fights.
"One guy was looking at another guy, he got mad, and everything started from there," said DeJesus.
The violent altercation was captured on cellphone video. It shows the frantic scene police say a male patron stabbed another inside 412 East 149th St. in front of stunned customers.
The male victim who was injured suffered three stab wounds to his body. DeJesus, who has worked at the shop for 20 years, admits the neighborhood is rough, but that this is a first for him inside his place of work.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.
Police are continuing to search for the suspect. They say they believe he is 26 years old and was last seen running east on 149th Street.
