A man was fatally stabbed inside a Fordham apartment Friday night, police say.

Emergency officials responded to the scene on Valentine Avenue just before 9 p.m.

Christian Montez, 32, was found outside the apartment unconscious with a stab wound to the chest. His girlfriend's stepfather, a 60-year-old man, had a stab wound on his face.

Both men were sent to St. Barnabas Hospital where Montez died.

Sources say the incident started with an argument between Montez and his girlfriend.

Police say they found the knife that was used in the attack at the scene.

The 60-year-old man is currently in stable condition and in police custody for questioning.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
