Bedford Park tenants say about 16 windows shattered in building by canned food

Posted: Updated:

Canned food is being used to smash windows instead of fill stomachs in Bedford Park.

About 16 windows have been shattered in an apartment building on 199th Street - all by canned food thrown through the windows.

A man who didn't want to appear on camera says people who are living in the building take pride in their home.

"It’s a shame that we take care of our property, that we do the best we can for the tenants of this building and something like this happens,” said the man.

Plywood is now in place of the broken windows to stop more cans from flying through.

The residents say they just hope they are able to find who is doing it and put an end to the damage.
