Art now fills what were once empty windows in Fordham.
Laura James, the curator for the exhibition in Fordham Plaza, was like many others in the community saying, " I've walked past this building for years and I'm like what is this building what are they doing here?"
Jessica Maffia, one of the artists that participated in the exhibit, says a variety of material is used to create the art. "I project them. I cut them out of paper and then I've used a whole variety of material, so I've drawn water with a pencil. I've drawn clouds in charcoal," said Maffia.
Now, art fills the windows in what they call the "Oasis" exhibit. It is aimed for people to walk by on a dark day and bring light.
