Police officers in the Bronx were on high alert Thursday night after threats were made of another potential shooting.
Police sources tell News 12 a memo went out saying there was a credible threat and that someone may try to shoot a member of the NYPD, specifically with the 41st Precinct.
The memo alerted officers to be "vigilant" and "alert."
The Sergeants Benevolent Association is calling it an NYPD assassination threat. They tweeted saying that stationhouse security must be posted on all tours.

This comes after this weekend's pair of police-involved shootings. One of those shootings happened at the 41st Precinct.
Officers are patrolling the entrance of the precinct making sure that anyone who doesn't belong at the precinct cannot enter.
