Police: E-bike stolen at traffic light in Soundview
A man's e-bike was stolen from him by a group of men while at a traffic light in Soundview Tuesday night, police say.
News 12 is told that the victim was riding an e-bike around 9 p.m. and police say he was waiting for the red light to turn green when he was targeted.
The 18-year-old victim told officers he was stopped at a traffic light on Beach and Westchester avenues when suddenly, a man pushed him off his bike. Seconds later, the victim says another man hopped on his e-bike and took off with it.
Surveillance video shows a group of men riding an e-bike down the street after the robbery.
The victim was not injured.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police.
