Police: Yonkers man dead after co-worker stabs him in the neck

Posted: Updated:

Police say a Yonkers man is dead after his co-worker stabbed him in the neck Monday night.

Police say it started with an argument between two employees. They say a 53-year-old employee stabbed Brandon Almonte, 22, multiple times in the neck inside the Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership in Riverdale.

They say it happened around 4:30 p.m. and that the employee accused of the stabbing was taken into custody.

Detectives recovered a knife at the scene and are still investigating a motive at this time.

Almonte was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Allen Pavilion, where police say he was pronounced dead.

Police have not yet released a name for the suspect in this case. They say his charges are pending.
