Gov. Andrew Cuomo confirmed another 11 people were tested positive for coronavirus bringing the number of cases in New York state to 22.
Among those infected are a 50-year-old Westchester County man, his wife, kids and a neighbor.
Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed Thursday that a man in his 40s and a woman in her 80s have also tested positive for COVID-19.
The mayor says both are critically ill and have pre-existing conditions.
"As New York City continues to see more cases, I am reminding New Yorkers to remain vigilant, but not alarmed," said Mayor Bill de Blasio. "We are continuing to do everything in our power to keep New Yorkers safe and healthy, and are asking our federal partners to help us increase testing capacity so we can get the job done faster."

The man suffers from respiratory issues from smoking and vaping, de Blasio said Thursday. He says the elderly women suffers from issues related to her age.
De Blasio says one of them is currently at a hospital in Brooklyn and that the other is at a hospital in Manhattan.
The mayor says 44 students, one teacher and six staff members from James Madison High School in Brooklyn traveled to Italy on Feb 23. He says the teacher was symptomatic, but test results turned out negative.
The mayor says they are assessing the students at this time and that none of them have symptoms.
