Gov. Andrew Cuomo says at least 16 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in New York City.

This brings the total amount of cases to 216 in New York state.

He says he expects the numbers to rise.

In an attempt to minimize the impact, Gov. Cuomo says he will now speak with employers to see what can be done to keep people at home and out of the office.

"Today I am going to be speaking to businesses leaders and asking them to voluntarily, as opposed to any mandatory government action voluntarily, agree to reduce the density by running two shifts of workers, telecommuting, and letting whatever employees they can work from home. This is about reducing density," says Gov. Cuomo.

According to the World Health Organization, the number of those infected worldwide growing to more than 118,000.
